My mother Valerie Barber(nee Drayton) has asked me to write a tribute to her sister Marjorie for her as she tells me she hasn’t quite grasped the wonders of internet technology at her tender age of 92 years young. Mum says Marj, brothers Bert(dec), Jeff(dec) had wonderful times together and some of her best memories are of the Cashmore and Drayton families with the Barber clan holidaying together at Peterborough, visiting the relatives in Timboon and the visits she and Dad (John, dec)enjoyed at Wallan. Mum sends her condolences to the Cashmore family and knows her sister is now at peace. In lieu of flowers, mum wants to donate to Dementia Australia.
Wonderful memories of many enjoyable times spent with the Cashmore and Drayton families. I can recall holidaying at Peterborough with all the family and Uncle Don(dec) took me fishing and l caught my first ever fish. I was so excited-unbeknown to me he had slipped a fish on the end of my line. My children remember Auntie Marj with much fondness as she often slipped them $2.00 coins during visits. Always felt so lucky to have such an awesome Aunt and Uncle. Condolences to all the Cashmore family. Rest in peace Auntie Marj.
