Elsie was like my second mum. A loving mother and grandma. Loved her beloved boys from the Collingwood footy club. Loved life and enjoyed life to the fullest. She is my inspiration and I will cherish the moments I was privileged to have shared with her. Heaven is so lucky to have her there and she is now in the arms of Kevin. Rest in peace my best friend. Love Anthony S aka bacon man

Farewell, Elsie, you were an amazing, kind, generous, caring, supportive, brave, strong, beautiful woman that was always there for everyone even the people that you were debating sports and everything else with. I have the fondest of fond memories of you, and our chats when we would talk about your family, your husband, the romance, and the meeting of your husband and your life in Australia and Greece as well.
You were an amazing support to me, always made sure that I reached for my dreams, you were the grandmother I never had someone to talk to, to discuss life, love, sports, and poetry and romance with. I was honoured when you said you thought of me as a grandson, I was pleased we got to meet that night in Melbourne and get a picture together and you gave me that wooden spoon.
I will treasure every memory of you that I have, as well as that picture, and the wooden spoon, no one else will ever be as amazing as you were. I loved hearing the stories you would tell, and seeing how happy you were after winning the sports events you had entered with the other seniors.
Never once did you let your age get in the way of yourself living happily, often I’d forget that you were a grandmother it was like you were a teenager and we were all experiencing life for the very first time. Your humour, your love and support guided a lot of us through some bad tines and helped us see the brightness of life every chance we got to talk to you.
My sadness is that we will not create new memories with you in our lives, but I am thankful I was able to experience you in mine and have so many memories of you. You had spoken many times of how you wish you could be back with Kevin, and how you missed him dearly, and how my poems reminded you so much of him sometimes. I’m glad you could experience him all over again, his love, and embraces once more.
You can rest now, you fought a brave fight, you lived an amazing life, parented some amazing children, how brought more amazing children into this world. You have an amazing family, and getting to know your daughter and your granddaughter has been a pleasure as well.
Goodbye for now, Elsie, when my time comes to join you in the great beyond we will catch up with some stories, and have some laughs again. I am sure you will be ready to welcome the golden child, the boss Anthony P, the shit stirrer Anthony S, Mary, and also Debbie when the time is right for them to come too.
You were not just a friend, you were family, you were supernan, and thank you so much for the treasured memories we have of you that we can talk about until we meet again on the other side.
My condolences to all your family, and loved ones.
We certainly loved and admired Elsie Wilson, we will miss her greatly, as I know you will also.
See you soon supernan.

God bless you, Elsie, you were a great woman, and friend to many you treated everyone with respect and love. You showed me friendship and love for my battles in life, and for my young family I was glad to know you and know your family.
I am so so sorry to your family, your loved ones, and those very close to you that you have touched in every way possible. You were like a ray of sunshine for many, a beacon of hope, and love for those that went through some rough times and you saw us through to the other side.
I wish I got to meet you, I wish I knew you more, and wish you were still here, our talks were great I loved how cheeky you were and how you loved a good joke. Everything you were in life I know you are going to be in heaven.
You kept a lot of people on their toes, and stood up for many even if they felt they did not deserve to be given any kind remarks. I am sorry we didn’t chat more, but I was glad to know you.
Bless you and your family in this time, I hope to live a life as happy as yours with so many beautiful family members surrounding me as I leave this world with the mark you left on this one.
Rest easy, Elsie, you’ve earned it.
