A cluster of memories sprinkled with tears,

Wishing God had spared you a few more years.

Now at peace

Deep in our hearts a memory is kept

Of one we loved and shall never forget.

Missing you

Gail, Terry, Ned, Harry and Rosie Payne

What we would give if we could say, “Hello Dad,” in the same old way

To hear your voice, see you smile, to sit with you and play cards for a while.

We will all miss you Dad.

Love Gary, Paula, Caleb, Liam and Riley

Time may pass and fade away, but memories of you will always stay, happy memories silently kept, no need for words, will never forget, you were loved.

Andrea, Dutchy and Ike

Dad,

Thanks for the many opportunities you have provided me with. I will miss your constant companionship, advice, support and laughter that you have given my family and I. The farm will never be the same.

Love Grant (Hook), Janelle, Joseph, Patrick, Sarah, Luke and Kate

  1. Deepest sympathy to my dear lifelong friends Aileen, Gail, Gary, Andrea, Grant and all the grandchildren and loved ones. My heart aches for you at this very sad time, my love and thoughts are with you all. I will always remember every special visit at your farms when I was growing up with my best friend Gail. I remember your Dad always had a cheerful greeting to me, “how r you goin Burg?” Those times I spent with you all have been cherished by me ever since and always will be. The Christmas’ we spent together with our families, trip we went away together on to Nathalia and the beach. We had the best childhood and the best parents, they always made everything fun with lots of stirring and laughter (especially from Des). We don’t really appreciate our own parents until we have our own family to raise, knowing how tough it can be at times. Patience is a virtue, especially when cows, kids and horses are involved, which they always have been in our lives. R.I.P. Des, you were a ripper of a bloke. Keep the memories alive. A big hug for Aileen. Love to all from Burg (Marli), Greg and family. x
