Farewell Jack,
Thankyou for being brave enough to take on Mum and four kids under 15 (& associated pets; horses, chooks and Bessie the cow). Thanks for all the firsts; the beautiful silver Holden Kingswood, our first ever road trip interstate that included ice cold refreshing lemon squash in the lounge bar of a pub on the hottest day we’d ever known. Thanks for home grown veges, open fires & music, thanks for being kind, gentle, caring and brave. There are so many images for us to remember you. Always a beanie and a smile of ‘incredible teeth’. Ninety one full years Jack, from Leitchville to Camperdown with many adventures in between. Travels with Spencer, playing in a band with Betty & Harold, nursing your Mum, farming & racing trotters; yes, life was full.
More recent years you loved Tuesdays & Fridays with the wonderful folk from The Newman Center & still pottered in your garden (a place of many falls 😥)
Farewell Jack Hancock (best name ever!) Thanks for not hesitating when Buddie & I rode down your driveway in search of agistment.
