My Father was a shearer an a fox shooter, he left when i was 4 y ears old an i stayed with him at 13 years old, it was an unusual experience, unlike i expected, Dad was a very bruised an wounded man internally by his Father who died at age 54 of alcoholism when the house burned down. He was a very damaged broken man because of his Fathers violence towards him an his mother. He tried to be kind , His father was a very hardened violent man which deeply scared my Dad being chased by a tommy axe an all kinds of physical an verbal abuse.My Father did never recover from those traumas. If anyone out there thinks he was harsh,be mindful he was damaged emotionally, physically an psychologically .He shared his life story with me a few times which gave me compassion an insight into my Fathers shattered life.,My Dad Angus John Gleeson was a very broken man ,In his last few days he spoke kindly an friendly to me an died peacefully with dignity he spokeas as kindly as he was able to.
