I only met Helen a few times, but I still recall her smile and humour. I could see why Pete would always have fun stories to share at the station about his mum, and told them with such warmth, appreciation and love in his voice.
Losing a loved one reminds us that we are all just guests here. It also reminds us to hug those left behind even tighter.
Love to the Deppeler family as they are forced to enter the next phase of their story without one of their main characters. Love. Andrea, John and Fletcher Gibbins. X -

Condolences Kate, Pete, Wayne & Stephen. Thinking of you all.
Few people linger in our memories and hearts beyond a few years not to mention decades, but Helen was someone who captured that place for so many, including myself. What an immense gift she had for encouraging and cheering on others to push for fuller, passion-led and happier lives. She did that first for me at 15, and more recently at 36, reaching out off her own back just to be a supporter. She loved generously. Laughed generously.. Always gave life a red-hot-go. She was a Simpson Belle who added colour and richness. A legacy embraced by her children, whom she was so proud. Sending love xx -
