A very warm hearted and uncomplicated cousin who readily made friends. He was of Goliath stature and strength and had an open countenance; never failing to offer his sincere opinion. On one occasion during childhood someone asked him his name and he immediately replied “John Semple for the Grandad”.
Ian as he was best known among us was popular. I enjoyed many days during the school holidays staying at his home and the good times we had on the farm. It was a privilege to be visited by him and his wife during a visit to Northern Ireland. I was sad to hear of his passing away and hope his late Mother’s prayers resulted in his eternal happiness. -

Saddened to hear of the death of my eldest brother John. I have many childhood memories of us growing up in Largy and of our camping holidays in Ireland. He followed his dream and settled in Australia where he has made many wonderful friends. Sorry we are unable to be with you all to share our loss but are praying that God will comfort us in our grieving. Stanley, Lisa and family xx

‘Quietly today your memory we treasure, loving you always, forgetting you never.’
So sorry to hear of my brother’s death. So many memories of the good times we had growing up together and on his visits home to Ireland. His passing reminds us all of the brevity of life and the need to prepare for eternity.
Love Leslie, Millie and family. -
We grew up together and both emigrated to the land of Oz. What we once enjoyed we can never lose, and yet, “the passing of time awakens in our hearts the cry for permanence. (Quote: F B Meyer). O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? Thanks be unto God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Chrisr. Always remembered by your cousin Bob and Lorna back in Ireland.
