A kind, gentle soul who was widely admired, and who will be missed by many, in Archives and Information Management circles. Rest peacefully, Haydn. Gone too soon.

So sad to hear of Haydn’s Passing. Haydn was my manager for many years at La Trobe. He had great ideas for the department and we loved working for him. He had a sunny disposition and got the job done. When Haydn left for a new job, we were all so sad as we loved working with him. Sorry we can’t be at his funeral. Haydn was a great guy and will be missed by those who knew him.

Haydn was a wonderful mentor and friend. His warmth, patience and fantastic sense of humour made coming to work such a pleasure and fostered a culture that I’ve not encountered since. I could have happily worked for him forever…despite the whole Brisbane Lions thing!
Footy aside, I remember Haydn’s thoughts were always with his family, particularly his children Michael, Donna and step-son James. My thoughts are with you too and I’m truly sorry I can’t be there for the funeral to tell you in person how admired your father was. -
We were very sorry to hear of Haydn’s passing. Hadyn was also my manager at La Trobe and was a wonderful and respected boss to work for. Sorry we couldn’t be there today and thank you to Debbie & Warwick McDowall for representing us.
Our sympathy to all the family.
