When it came time to put pen to paper about how you were a beautiful nan I could not do it because no words that I use would ever describe how amazing you are and in saying that we didn’t just lose our nan we lost our best friend as well not a day will go by that I won’t miss you more and more and I am so honoured to have known you so well over the course of my entire life and I will cherish every moment that we spent together along with every lesson from you and your advice. I’ll miss your sometimes accidental humour, like when I was in labour with my oldest (Ayla) and you made a comment and said “you’ll be right love, when I had your mother they used forceps on her head to get her out…. maybe that’s why she’s brain-dead sometimes” while flicking through your women’s weekly magazine in the birthing room, although the reaction on mum’s face spoke volumes about how impressed she was with what you said. Make sure you give pop a huge cuddle and kiss for me too Nan, I love you.
